Almost Perfect

Maddy had somehow gotten roped into Christine and Amy’s little ‘pact’. For her part, she only had to get one piece of her artwork accepted in an art gallery. Although she knew exactly how it happened, she still couldn’t believe she was on her way to work for a man who most likely never wanted to see her again. She could not have been more right.

Joe never really thought about seeing Maddy again, but now that she was standing right in front of him, he was furious. Maddy couldn’t believe that Jo was still so angry with her. Granted she broke his heart ten years prior, but ten years was a long time to hold a grudge. Now she wasn’t sure if she should stay or flee back home. She wasn’t here for this. If she could patch things up with Joe, that would be great if not, her main priority was her artwork. That sounded good in theory, but even after all this time the heat and attraction was still apparent between them. Joe was as equally affected by Maddy’s appearance. Even after all this time, she still got to him in a way that no one else ever had. The question now was, just what were they going to do about it?

Almost Perfect is a heart-warming story of what can happen when you open up your heart to love and trust again. Joe has no reason to trust or believe in Maddy. Everything she does to try and make things better only backfires. Joe is the kind of man any woman would want. He’s not a push over by any means and he’s definitely all male. He took a chance on Maddy once before and she shattered his heart, he doesn’t intend to make that mistake again. Julie Ortolon weaves this tale together beautifully. There’s witty dialogue balanced with a sizzling attraction. Readers will feel the emotions of Maddy and Joe falling in love all over again, because Ms. Ortolon writes with such heart. As equally palpable are their fears, excitement, and passions. Almost Perfect is the first book in The Perfect Trilogy. I eagerly await more of Julie Ortolon and Christine and Amy’s prospective books, Just Perfect and Too Perfect.
