A Lesson in Passion
What can possibly happen when two strangers are thrown together for one weekend by a mutual friend? As Shane and Lucy find out, quite a lot can happen in all the free time.
Cordelia has decided to play matchmaker for two friends that are traveling down long and lonely roads. Lucy is a divorced woman left emotionally scarred by her ex-husband. She believes she is unworthy of any man and will always be alone. Unfortunately, Lucy has no self-confidence to over come this idea her own. Shane has been terribly betrayed by his wife and is now on a nonstop fast track course of unattached, unbridled one night stands. He has no idea what he really wants or needs. In steps Cordelia: she strands them at her weekend house in order to teach them both a lesson in what passion really is. If Cordelia had known what could happen, would she have sent them out there together? Will Lucy come to see herself in a different light? Can Shane learn anything from a woman afraid of herself?
Peggy Hunter has provided a quick short story, with two very different characters, filled with very true emotions that any reader can connect with. Lucy’s doubt in her own beauty is wonderfully written and will leave the readers heartbroken for her. Shane’s self confidence will add a smug grin to anyone’s face. The physical moments shared between the two are playful yet sizzling. Will Lucy learn that beauty is not what the world sees, but what she sees? Will Shane and Lucy survive being locked away together with nothing but time on their hands?
A Lesson in Passion is a wonderfully written story that had me smiling the entire time. The playful spirit that develops between Shane and Lucy is rewarding and frustrating for them both. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them work themselves in and out of intense moments. This is a light hearted romance that any reader will enjoy. Peggy Hunter did a great job and earned 5 Angels in the process!
