Chance Encounter

Beth is a woman in the midst of a panic attack in downtown Ontario. Hearing a soothing voice, her breathing returns to normal and she is able to pick herself up off the sidewalk. Taking a chance and being spontaneous, Beth has lunch with this stranger. She has to repay him from helping her out. Next thing she knows, she is kissing him within hours and that is only the beginning. Will she be able to pull herself away from this mystery man?

Lesley Belle has created a contemporary romance riddled with humor and unique characters. Jack is a man with secrets, but has a genuine heart of gold. Beth is a strong willed woman desperate to make it on her own despite everyone she knows belief she is inadequate. The passion between Jack and Beth is touching and tantalizing to say the least. With one condition after another, they are deeper and deeper entwined into each others life. The emotional strength and understanding that each provides to the other is heartfelt and rewarding. Will Beth find that being independent doesn’t mean she has to be alone? Can Jack see that having no roots is not all it is cracked up to be? When Beth learns all of Jack’s secrets, will she still see Jack for the person that he is?

The story is well written with a plot that instantly captured my interest with humor that was followed closely with the wonderful character of Jack. Can I just say I want a Jack of my own? This book is one that a reader can read quickly, but is well worth the time spent doing so. The tenderness of Jack mixed with spunky Beth is wonderful to watch grow and develop. Chance Encounter offers readers a rewarding and touching love story. Lesley Belle has done an excellent job earning 5 Angels!
