What do you do when you must seek the help of someone you do not know and fear to be a monster? Elayus is about to find out. Venturing to the Doomore Castle is search of the infamous Lord Lysander, Elayus is about to get more than she expected. She needs him to help her rescue her sister from the evil Lord Creedville. Elayus’ life has become a pawn in a dangerous game and Lysander is determined to not only keep her safe, but with him forever. When decisions must be made to ensure Elayus’s wellbeing, Lysander is forced to make that decision alone. Is it worth what it will cost Elayus? Can Lysander risk her resenting him?

Alyna Lachlan has provided readers a story mixed with a lonely vampire and evil creatures and portrays the dangers of wanting someone or something dearly. The dangers that revolve around Lysander and Elayus are tantalizing and suspenseful. The emotions that Elayus feels for Lysander are both confusing and touching. Lysander’s passion for ensuring Elayus’ safety is heartfelt. The passion between them is sizzling and hot. Will Lysander be able to keep Elayus safe? Will Elayus be able to see Lysander for what he really is?

I enjoyed watching the passion grow between Lysander and Elayus as well as the frustrations felt by Lysander as he tries to make the difficult decisions on how best to keep Elayus safe. Tainted Pleasures is an erotic paranormal mixed with suspense and danger. Alyna Lachlan has done a great job at earning 4 Angels!
