The Heart of a Hunter

When Asher received the request to go to Earth and retrieve Raine for his boss, the High Commander of Turma, he thought this would be the easiest mission yet. Pick up Raine and bring her back to Ismar, her mate. Asher is a hunter: in Earth terms a bounty hunter. Unfortunately, his own body immediately betrays him and his honorable sense of loyalty the moment he lays his eyes on Raine. Advised she would not struggle and would willing come with him, he is excited and nervous about spending the time going back home with her. When emotions flare on the flight, Asher finds himself having to make a difficult decision. Will he allow himself to love her just once? Asher and Raine arrive on Turma only to find that Raine being brought there has nothing to do with being Ismar’s mate and everything to do with Asher.

Laura Bacchi has offered readers a short story about two characters from different worlds. The instant physical attraction between them has Asher battling with his body and mind through the book. Raine is a woman who finds it difficult to remain quiet and secretive about her desire: which is a totalll opposite to her normal behavior. The passion between the two just goes to show that you don’t have to live next door to someone for them to truly understand your deepest desires. The Heart of a Hunter is a wonderfully written short story about risking one’s heart for one moment for a chance at blissful romance. Laura Bacchi has done a superb job at earning 5 Angels!
