Christian Ways

Christian is gearing up for the annual Christmas program at her church; she’s orchestrated and supervised the outreach-based program for five years now, and while her methods have been unconventional, she’s gained both experience and the respect of her church and community. When her minister suggests that she take on an assistant to help her with the holiday production, she is all for the idea...that is, until she finds out who he has in mind.

Bad boy musician Zach Mitchell is trying to get his life back on track. He’s from the wrong side of town, and he’s made mistakes, bouncing in and out of foster homes while teetering on the fine line of committing some serious crimes. And now, he’s been commandeered to act as helper to some uptight, churchy chick who does nothing but sneer and snipe at him from their first meeting. How is a guy supposed to put up with this?

Christian Ways is a compelling story, and is really more of a lance to the cliquey and snobbish ways of thinking where the good little Christians tsk-tsk over the bad, worldly people who threaten their comfort zones. This is a struggle facing many churches today: how to remain godly while being relevant to the society they live in and remaining true to the purpose of God’s church – that of reaching the lost. Characters are strong and likeable, showing depths that give them realism and makes them come alive. With this tale’s underlying themes of redemption, mercy, and love, Cheryl N. Warner gives readers something to sink their teeth into that will keep their minds occupied with much food for thought. Enjoyable and relevant, Christian Ways is fiction with a higher purpose – to teach kingdom principles while provided readers with an intelligent and riveting story.
