Loki’s Sin

Johnny Gitano is a two-bit thug with connections. He may not look like it, but he controls a sizeable share of Tacoma’s seedy underbelly. He gets the scare of his life when a phantom warns him out of town, but Johnny neglects to take the creature up on its offer. Instead, he cuts a bargain with the devil, or as close to a devil as he could imagine and gets more than he bargained for in the process.

Immortals are among us. They fled to Earth hundreds of years ago when their planet was ravaged by the Enemy’s Thanatos Metavirus; some were able to fend off the killer disease and those who did became the very epitome of what was meant to be obliterated...the deliverance of the Enemy’s own doom. On Earth, mortals have been stripped of their magic, their DNA blocked, and the immortal called Loki is looking for a way to help them regain what they’ve lost. During the course of his experiments, something goes awry and a new race is born...and then Loki disappears. Meanwhile, the rest of the immortals have other, bigger problems. The Enemy is loose on Earth and is sowing seeds of discord and death, while the good guys struggle for a way to save the planet.

Holy alternate reality, Batman! Loki’s Sin creates an Earth not unlike ours, but infinitely more dangerous and chocked to the brim with peril. Saje Williams pens this take on the origins of the Greek gods and goddesses, and brings the strife and struggle to modern day. Athena Cross is a character drawn with excellence; she’s tough and powerful, but unsure of her abilities until a situation beyond her control brings out the best in her. Loki’s Sin is filled with well-crafted fight sequences and far-out characters, and is sure to please as it asserts that there is some kernel of truth in mythology. Don’t miss this one!
