The Finest Line 2: The Trick is the second book in Willa Okati’s newest series. Book One is titled The Finest Line 1: The Sighting.

Benec is having the ultimate bad day. Everyone around him is wrapped up in the upcoming wedding of Cloud and Rose, but he’s pouting alone on the rocks. He doesn’t want to deal with his desire for Tirsah; she’s too complicated and confuses him. He’s not happy about the Prince losing Rose’s hand to Cloud, and nothing is going according to his plan. And now, he hears of Tirsah’s love for him – it must all be a cruel joke, right?

The Finest Line 2: The Trick gives readers another glimpse into the land of Kirree-on-the-Sea, and tells the tale of love, bitterness, betrayal, and friendship. Willa Okati peeks into the lives of these villagers and foreigners, shifting from scene to scene in a seamless and entertaining manner. Strong characters, both primary and supporting, give The Trick an edgy, dramatic feel. Reading this one only makes me want the next book to come out soon, so that my questions about this series can all be answered.
