Dragon Skin

The time was 1406; the place was Southern England. William was a tired and hungry story teller who ventured from village to village telling his stories for mere pennies. His own life being much of a story itself, William had turned away from his birth and his way of life. One evening as he rode his horse through a wooded clearing, William heard a strange sound and then fell to his knees in an unconscious stupor. When he awoke he was bound and naked. He soon found that his captor was more than he bargained for and was swept up in a twelve generation old curse of a dragon. Before William knows what’s hit him, he finds himself enlisted in a two-person army that will fight a mythological dragon for the right to bear children. As the plot thickens, William begins to fall in love and soon the dragon isn’t the only beast he finds himself fighting.

Dragons don’t exist, do they? In Dragon Skin by Jesse Casavant you will find that dragons do exist and are beasts not to be reckoned with. I was overwhelmed by the description of the characters and their surroundings. The romance between the leading man and his lady is erotic and life altering. As I read each chapter I was pulled deeper and deeper into the story. The characters are independent and so strong that a single story could be told from each of them. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every page from beginning to end. Jesse Casavant’s Dragon Skin is pure poetic justice for the mind and soul.
