Supernatural Bonds: Storm’s Faeries

Detective Storm O’Malley has just become involved in a new, high profile case. The murder of a member of the wealthy VanDenbergh family is a case guaranteed to become a true media event. Storm wishes it wasn’t such a circus, but there doesn’t seem to be anything she can do to stop it, especially when it is discovered that the priceless Chalice of Enos was stolen during the VanDenbergh murder. The Chalice is the stuff of legends, an artifact so rare that it has spent more time on the black market than in the hands of any collector. Many people want it…many supernatural beings want it, but right now, it’s Storm’s job to find the Chalice, so she calls up an old contact, someone she has been dying to see again anyway.

Fae Royalty and college professor, Tristan Lisalli knows that Storm is going to contact him. As soon as he heard about the Chalice going missing, and Storm’s involvement, he knew their lives would once again intersect. It’s not the way he would have hoped to make her acquaintance again, but circumstances aside, his heart fairly leaps with the thought of being able to finally talk to Storm once again. Their meeting is as explosive as both expected so much so that the heat fairly singes the reader. Tristan knows that Storm is his forever wife, but he can’t help hoping that she will also catch the eye of his cousin Pierce. His bond with Pierce is strong and he wants to share his newfound feelings with the man who is closer to him than a brother. Pierce is cynical about love however and he doesn’t think any mortal woman could capture his attention for long. It takes one little taste of Storm’s lips to tell him otherwise though. But before the three can make a bond to each other, the case of the missing Chalice must be solved, and it seems to be growing more complicated by the minute as another rare artifact goes missing, another body turns up dead, and the supernatural beings start to come out in force.

Supernatural Bonds: Storm’s Faeries is the second story in Jory Strong’s Supernatural Bonds series and features well loved characters from the previous story, along with some new faces. Once again, Ms. Strong takes readers on a paranormal journey of very creative proportions. The quest to find the Chalice, and the mythology surrounding it, is incredibly interesting to read about. The entire plot is just plain wonderful, from Storm’s uncertainty regarding her feelings for Tristan and Pierce, to Pierce’s antics in his club, to the possibilities of dragons and to the murder itself. Ms. Strong will have you hooked on each and every page of this story. The murder plot is definitely no ordinary who-dunnit. It has an out of this world supernatural twist that will leave you guessing to the very end. The three protagonists keep the dialogue erotic, fun, emotionally intense, and a joy to read. Ms. Strong should most certainly be added to every paranormal reader’s list of must buy authors. Her voices and characters grow stronger with every story she pens and it is always a treat to open up a new book by her. Don’t pass this story up!
