Return to Wonderland: Lord Kir of Oz

Dorothy Abigail Osborne (Abby) is swept away from her home in Kansas by way of a tornado. She finds herself saved by Lord Kir, Ruler of Emerald City and Lord of the cave-dwelling mountain wolves. He decides he will keep her as his slave and bend her to his will. Abby is not so pleased with this idea of total submission but she does feel some attraction to Kir – maybe they can come to a compromise?

Abby is one feisty heroine. Stranded in a strange world where a hunky man wants her to submit to his every wish, what is a girl to do but to try and fight back? Her independence and sense of self is at risk as Kir tries to dominate her. Abby’s strength is amazing as she does her best to stand up to Kir. Kir was the epitome of an over the top Alpha male. He came across as overly cruel and insensitive at times. There were many times when this reader wanted to give him a whack or two due to his treatment of Abby. It took awhile before he was able to win this reader over as a suitable mate for Abby. That being said, the erotic action between the two was sizzling hot as they heated up the pages and then some. By the end of the story, there is no doubt to the love between the two and their happily ever after is guaranteed.

There are many secondary characters within this story but of great interest is Prince Eral. What an enigmatic and very sexy man from Atlantis -- hopefully he will have his story soon! The appearances of previous characters from the Wonderland series will be a pleasure for readers of the series. Although this book is set in the same world as the Wonderland series, it can stand alone and does not require the reading of the books from the previous series.

Return to Wonderland: Lord Kir of Oz takes the traditional Wizard of Oz story and turns it up on its ears. It is a fun and rollicking ride for the reader as we explore this world the authors have created. It is a great beginning to another new series and this reader looks forward to the next one.
