Tripping Through the Universe contains four stories:

Farthest Space: The Wrath of Jan by Ellen Fisher

Captain Steven T. McNeill enjoys sex. He eyes his new communications officer as a possible bed partner, while Commander Vaish watches with disgust. Steven is overtaken by the terrorist who came aboard the ship masquerading as his new communications officer. He and Vaish find themselves in a life pod and being ejected from the ship.

This book reminded me of the Star Trek series. Vaish has a wry sense of humor and comes across as a very intelligent female. Steven doesn’t seem to be too bright as he is lead by his lower part of his body rather than his brain cells. This couple is very enjoyable as they banter back and forth. Their personalities complement each other very well.

Earth Girls Aren’t Easy by Jaide Fox

Chyna Lin has been captured by Darion Jatara, ruler of the planet Attar. He expects her to bear him sons. Given her choices, Chyna decides to play along but will take the first chance to escape.

Darion is the personification of the alpha male. He gives commands and expects them to be followed. Chyna is a bundle of dynamite as she does whatever she needs to do to escape. It was fun to watch her try to escape from him and what he does when he catches up to her makes for a sizzling reading session.

Fully Functional by Ashley Ladd

Gregg Baxter and Scotty Donovan invented androids that can function as human servants. Shannon is the sister of Scotty, and Gregg has had the hots for her for the longest time. He wants to experiment with the androids in action in a smart house; a house which is totally wired with cameras and sensors while Shannon is the occupant.

Gregg and Shannon have been attracted to each other, but never did anything about it. The story is a very light hearted and fun to read. It was an adventure to follow Gregg and Shannon to their conclusion.

Interplanetary Love by Shelley Munro

Ekim Ramuk is a wanted man by the females on his planet. His reputation as a great lover has made his life difficult due to his occupation as an actor. Carly Abercrombie, a cop, meets him through an interplanetary dating service due to his sister’s machinations. Can
these two find happiness together?

Ekim and Carly are a fun couple. They both have insecurities and problems in their life. Their relationship is fraught with problems due to Ekim keeping secrets from Carly. However, for a short story, the character development is quite deep and the secondary character of Ekim’s sister is a delightful addition.

Tripping Through the Universe provides many moments of enjoyment as the authors take us to other worlds. With sexy heroes and feisty heroines, the stories will definitely expand the imagination and heat up the atmosphere.
