A cookie, who is the rookie in the game of love?

You are enticed into a world of lust and sexual fulfillment between the cookie magnet, Rena, and her oh so delectable partner, police officer Charles. One of my favorite scenes was when they used cookies as erotic objects of show and tell. The story takes place over a weekend of delightful encounters of a sexual nature, while Rena and Charles work out their problems and encounter aliens spying on them. The male aliens are from a world where woman dominate the men, whereas here life and sexual encounters are a give and take of both partners. Will Rena and Charles teach these aliens about sexual encounters when both are actively participating?

While this story revolves around the sexual encounters of Rena and Charles, the romance of the two is hot. Many times I reread certain parts to make sure I did not miss anything as many things were going on. While Rena and Charles were sexually intense I did not feel the character’s personalities grabbed me as much as they should have.

Fireworks deals with a relationship filled with lust, there is also love and mutual respect thrown in making this worth a look. As this is the first book I have ever read by Mae Powers, I will be looking for others since the sexual encounters will heat you up!
